Little A {12 months}: Welcome to ONE-derland

Our little Snowflake has entered ONE-derland!

This past weekend we celebrated Little A's 1st birthday.

It's amazing how much she's changed, even in the last couple of months.  Click here for Little A's one month photo & click here for months one, three & seven - What a difference!

 We took her to the doctor today, so here are her updated stats:

• 19 lbs 4 oz - 50th percentile in weight
• 31 inches - off the charts in height!

This little lady is going to be a super model, I tell ya!

She's wearing a 9 month onesie in the photos above. She's really thin & long, so it's hard to figure out what clothing size she is. But we somehow manage to keep her clothed, ahem! 

She has mastered walking and climbing the stairs, but when she tumbles she has the ninja-like ability to avoid bumping her head {unlike her brother!}. EZ is pretty good at playing gently with her, but sometimes he doesn't know his strength -- but she can roll with the punches, literally & figuratively.

She has 6 top teeth & 4 bottom teeth & loves to chew absolutely everything and anything she can get her hands on.

Little A at 12 months LOVES:

• Her big brother EZ - he can do no wrong in her eyes
• Chatting & laughing with everyone she sees
• Clapping & waving - she's a very social bebe
• Playing with EZ's cars & trains {luckily her caregiver gave her a doll for her birthday!}
• Eating veggies & noodles - she's actually ok with anything you put in front of her. I love this stage before the kidlets start to have opinions about such things!
• Playing with her cousins
• Climbing the stairs
• Her HATS! She needs her hat to sleep, and also to keep her little bald head warm. She does NOT like flowery brain-squeezer headbands though, much to my chagrin :(

Little A: 3 months

I'm about a week late posting these, but they are too cute not to miss {in my biased opinion anyway!}.  Here's a quick update on Little A:

• We go to a weekly class together - Baby Milestones {we make take-home crafts and listen to speakers on child development, etc.}
• She sits up on her own now for the most part.  By 7 weeks she was able to lift her head on her own
• She likes to sing along with Mummy: in the car, during diaper/clothing changes, or just quiet close time. Her favourite songs are "My Love is Here to Stay" and the "Hello" song from Primary
• She "talks" A LOT {probably to keep up with chatterbox EZ}.  She's constantly cooing and trying to engage you in conversation.  Her favourite time to chat is the mornings when we first get up.  She likes to lie there for a bit to talk and cuddle with Mummy. It's precious.
• She's ok with Mummy dressing her in ridiculous {but cute outfits}.  For example, I said I would NEVER put a "brain squeezer" on my kidlet, but alas I'm overcome by the cuteness and now she frequently dons headbands with oversize and colourful flowers & bows. I would say she's a fashionista in the making. Poor daddy. Or poor daddy's wallet...
• She likes to pull my hair {hard!} and grasp my fingers {or necklace, or shirt, etc.}
• She's very drooly because she's teething. The buds on her teeth are just about to peek through - wish us luck!
• She's a delightfully content little girl and we are so blessed to have her in our family!

Seven months old today!!!

Little EZ isn't so little anymore!

Ezra is now seven months old.

He's a wonderful baby who is growing up so fast!

Here's his latest developments:

• He's mastered crawling. He's super fast and he can crawl anywhere!

• He's now trying to stand up. He's always on the lookout for some leverage to help him stand. His current favourites are the kitchen chairs and the stairs.

• He's a tough kid and way more adventurous than me. He's the kind of child that when he falls down, he rarely cries and just gets up again to tackle his task {usually trying to stand up}.
 
• He's starting to shuffle too. He stands up, using his Bumbo chair for support, then shuffles throughout the room.

• He's loving eating new foods. We've tried lots of veggies, so I think we'll be moving onto fruit too.

• He's still mastering the Bottle, but Mummy goes back to work tomorrow so he's options are going to be extremely limited.

• He loves hanging out with daddy and doing work around the new house! EZ just loves to be active!

• He has 5 teeth and more poking through - and he's suffered through the teething process like a champ!
